MHRA, the UK’s equivalent to the FDA’s CDRH has a great site regarding using medical devices safely. The site includes a video and tutorial on device safety. Take a look, forward it to your facilities Nursing Education Department… its a great resource.

On January 22, 2008 a small fire occurred in a Hill-Rom 1250 Radiant Warmer burning a 11 hour old baby. The ensuing investigation is now over and here are the findings.
