The New England Journal of Medicine (NEJM) published a study that concludes that the Aspect Medical (ASPM: 2.91 -0.09 -3.00%, vol: 800, 52wk: 2.75 - 16.08) BIS Monitor  is no more effective than older products at preventing anesthesia awareness.
